Care Practitioner – Children’s Crisis and Assessment Centre
Salary: £30,966 – £32,688
Shifts pattern: 2 on 4 off including sleep ins
Interview Dates – 9th, 10th and 11th September 2024
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Support Worker for our Crisis and Assessment Centre, dedicated to providing high-quality care to children. This role involves working with children who have experienced trauma, supporting them through challenging behaviors, and contributing to their overall well-being and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children in the home.
- Assess and respond to the individual needs of children.
- Maintain structure, boundaries, and routines in a nurturing environment.
- Plan and manage daily activities and health and safety checks.
- Ensure service delivery aligns with company policies and statutory regulations.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support children’s needs.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (desired), GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in residential childcare or a similar support environment.
- Skills: Experience with children who have complex trauma, knowledge of DDP and therapeutic care practices, strong safeguarding abilities, and effective communication skills.
- Licenses: Full UK Driving License.
